South Island Country & Town Competition
Following last nights Government announcement, level 2 restrictions for a period of seven (7) days, Swimming Otago has cancelled the South Island Country & Town Competition due to commence on Saturday 6 March.
On the one year anniversary of the first reported case in New Zealand, event cancellation continues to be a devastating decision, knowing all the hard work that happens pre-competition, not only for the athletes but the organisation by host Regions and Clubs. On that note, Swimming Otago wishes to acknowledge Clutha United Swimming Club for all the hard work they have completed to deliver, what would have been, a fabulous competition.
