Deans Secures Bronze Medal at Mare Nostrum Tour

It has been a successful week of racing for Caitlin Deans at the Mare Nostrum Swim Tour in Europe, with the Neptune athlete bagging a handful of finals, personal best times, and an impressive bronze medal in the 400m Freestyle in Monaco.

Caitlin was selected to represent New Zealand at the 2022 Mare Nostrum Swim Tour from 21-29 May, travelling around a three meet circuit consisting of racing in Monaco, Barcelona, and Canet-en-Roussillon over the short week long period. Competing against a number of world class athletes, Caitlin managed to race in four A finals over the week and secure a bronze medal in the 400m Freestyle at the first leg of the tour in Monaco. Impressively, Caitlin managed to finding her footing quickly at her first European meet, striking multiple personal best times in the 400m Freestyle and improving her seed ranking in every event she raced.

We are so proud of all Caitlin has achieved this week, it is truly a testament to the hard work she has put in over the years and we couldn't be more pleased with her efforts.
