13 PBs, 2 Medals, and 1 Otago Record for Otago at NZ Age Group Swimming Champs

From 19-23 April, seven Otago athletes competed at the New Zealand Age Group Swimming Championships in Wellington; posting thirteen new personal best times, bringing home 2 medals, and breaking one Otago record over the course of the week.

Swimming Otago would like to congratulate all those athletes who competed at the event. All round, it was a fantastic week of racing with a number of personal best swims from our athletes. A massive congratulations to Benjamin Silipo for taking home two medals and breaking an Otago Record over the week of racing.

We would also like to acknowledge those Otago officials that volunteered at the event over the week. If you were watching from home, you may have seen Alan Hale and Mary McFarlane on the pool deck - it is great to see our Otago officials participating at the highest national level. Thank you for representing our region so proudly.
