Nutrition Content Targeted Towards Athletes Coming Soon!

Swimming Otago would love to introduce our three fantastic student volunteers: Joey, Bailey and Bernadeth!

We have teamed up with these three University of Otago students to make nutrition information more accessible for our members, breaking down the barriers to receiving accurate and relevant information and giving each and every athlete the best chance for success in our sport and beyond.

Keep your eyes peeled for nutrition tips, recipes and more!

In the meantime, get to know the faces behind this exciting upcoming content...

I'm really looking forward to working with Swimming Otago as I hope our nutrition content will help athletes and parents to have a healthier and effortless way to obtain their sporting goals!

Bailey Bruckner
Hey guys! My name is Bailey, and I am currently completing my Master’s in Human Nutrition.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
When I’m not studying, I love to play tennis and surf, walk on the beach and spend time socialising with my friends.

Why are you excited to team up with Swimming Otago?
In high school I played tennis at a high level, and nutrition was a big part of my training. With all the different information out in there, I understand how hard it is to find real advice on what you should eat when playing sport.

I’m excited to collaborate with Swimming Otago in order to give athletes simple and reliable nutrition tips to make your training that much easier!

Bernadeth Atrinindarti
Kia ora! My name is Bernadeth and I am an associate registered nutritionist. I finished my Bachelor of Nutrition Science in Indonesia and went to University of Otago to do a Master's degree in Advance Nutrition Practice.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my free time I like to play basketball, badminton and watching movies or series. I have always had a high interest in sports and I realised that nutrition plays an important role for athletes, thus I chose sport nutrition.

Why are you excited to team up with Swimming Otago?
I'm keen to collaborate with Swimming Otago because this is a big opportunity for me to share everything that I learned in class and help the athletes to achieve their goals.
