  • 66 Top 3 Placings from Otago Athletes at Division II

    Congratulations to the 37 Otago athletes whom competed at the NZ Division II Swimming Competition in Dunedin from 8-12 May. It was a successful week of racing, with 66 podium finishes for Otago, plus a ton of personal best times swum!

    Congratulations to Neptune Swim Club athlete Erika Fairweather, for officially being selected to the NZ Team heading to the 2022 Commonwealth Games being held in Birmingham this year.

  • Seven Medals and Countless PBs at 2022 NAGS

    Congratulations to the eleven Otago athletes that competed at NAGs from 19-24 April 2022. Highlights of the week included 5 silver medals, 2 bronze medals, and every Otago athlete making at least one final! What an epic achievement!

    Congratulations to Caitlin Deans, Erika Fairweather, Ruby Heath, and coach Kurt Crosland, in their selection to the New Zealand team competing at the 2022 FINA World Championships being held in Budapest.

  • Twist and Deans hit international qualification times at NZ Championships

    What an epic week of racing at the New Zealand Swimming Championships, coming home with 8 medals, 8 Otago records, and 2 NZ records - plus Caitlin Deans and Kale Twist went under international qualifying marks for the first time!

  • Heath wins the Double at NZ Open Water Championships

    Congratulations are in order for Neptune athlete Ruby Heath, after she took home two national titles at the 2022 New Zealand Open Water Championships last weekend in Taupo. Otago athletes Jordan Rogers and Nevaeh Reddy were also in attendance at the championships. It was great to see so many athletes representing our region so well.

  • Three Otago Records from Junior Athletes at Otago LC Champs

    Over the weekend at Otago Long Course Championships, two of our junior athletes broke Otago records. A big congratulations to Sophia Kivileva and Hana Carnie, both of Wanaka Swim Club, for their achievements at the Otago LC Championships.

  • 60+ Medals for Otago at South Island LC Championshops

    Over the weekend, we hosted the 2022 South Island Long Course Championships - welcoming over 150 athletes aged 13 and over from across the South Island, and beyond, to Moana Pool in Dunedin. A massive congratulations to our Otago athletes who came home with nine overall South Island Champion titles, and over 60 age group medals - plus a ton of PBs!

    It is with great pleasure that Swimming Otago welcomes South Otago Sharks as our newest affiliated swimming club. With offerings for athletes of a variety of different skillsets, the South Otago Sharks fill an important gap in aquatic offerings in the district - promoting water skills to those living close to the southern seacoast.
