  • Nigel Ellett Elected Chairperson of Swimming Otago

    Nigel Ellett has been elected to the position of Chairperson of the Swimming Otago Board. After serving on the Swimming Otago Board for three years, Nigel is excited to take on this hands-on position and lead our regional association into the future. We also welcome Gillian Sugiyama onto the Swimming Otago Board.

  • Five Otago Athletes Selected to Represent NZ at FINA World Short Course Champs

    A huge congratulations to the five Neptune Swim Club athletes selected to represent New Zealand at the 16th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) later this year in Melbourne. Otago athletes selected are: Erika Fairweather, Caitlin Deans, Luan Grobbelaar, Ruby Heath, and Esme Paterson.

  • Top 8 Finish for Twist at Junior Pan Pacific Championships

    Competing at the Junior Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Hawai'i from 24-27 August, Kiwi ASC athlete Kale Twist came home with a personal best time, and two new Otago records, as well as a top 8 result in the 50m Freestyle and a 5th in the 4x100m Freestyle Relay. What an international debut!

  • 31 Medals, 16 Otago Records & 2 NZ Records at NZSC

    Otago age group stars shone at this years NZ Short Course Champs, whilst senior Otago athletes Deans, Fairweather, Grobbelaar, Paterson, and Heath rose to the occasion by picking up 12 FINA World SC Qualifying Standards between them. A fantastic meet for Otago, taking 12 age group medals, 19 open medals, and a ton of PBs and records!

  • Twist to Become 5th Otago Athlete to Compete at JPP

    After a breakout year domestically, Kiwi ASC athlete Kale Twist is set to make his international debut at the Junior Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Hawai'i from 24 August 2022. Competing in two individual events, Kale is taking on the 50m and 100m Freestyle. Read this article for more info!

  • Fairweather turns up the heat at the Commonwealth Games

    Our very own Erika Fairweather just came off a successful campaign at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, setting two new NZ Age Group Records and an Otago Open Record, as well as a personal best time and two top 5 placings!
