  • High performance group build toward World Championships at Sydney Open

    Five Neptune Swim Club athletes recently crossed the ditch to get some long course race practice under their belt as we move closer to the World Championships, picking up nine medals at the Sydney Open.

  • Carnie scores a hat-trick of records at Wanaka Interclub Meet

    What a delight it was to support Wanaka Swim Club in running their annual Interclub Meet, held from 6-7 May 2023. With the competition attracting more than 100 athletes, from across the Otago region and even from as far as Auckland, it was fantastic to see so many swimmers giving it their all, setting personal best times, and, most of all, having fun while doing it!

  • 8 Medals and 4 Records for Otago at NZ Age Group Championships

    Congratulations to all the Otago athletes that competed at the New Zealand Age Group Swimming Championships from 12-16 April in Hawke's Bay. Another fantastic week of racing for our young athletes, breaking four Otago records, bringing home eight medals, and setting a whole lot of personal best times.

  • Otago Scores Big at Swimming New Zealand Awards

    Over the week of racing at the New Zealand Swimming Championships, Swimming New Zealand presented their awards for the 2022 calendar year. Congratulations to all those in our Otago swimming community that won an award - very well deserved by each of you!

  • Four Neptune Athletes Selected to World Champs Roster

    Congratulations to Caitlin Deans, Erika Fairweather, Luan Grobbelaar, and Zac Reid, alongside Swim Dunedin coach Lars Humer, for being selected to represent New Zealand at the upcoming World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka, Japan.

  • Otago Athletes Bring Home 20 Medals from NZ Champs

    Congratulations to all the Otago athletes that competed at the New Zealand Swimming Championships from 1-5 April in Auckland. It was a great week of racing with our athletes taking home 20 medals, breaking more than 18 records, setting a whole lot of personal best times, and qualifying for the upcoming World Aquatics Championships.

  • Otago primary school students make a splash

    More than 300 Otago primary school students participated at the Otago Primary School Swimming Championships at Moana Pool in Dunedin on Sunday 26 March. It was a great day of racing, with lots of cheering and school spirit creating an awesome atmosphere at the venue. Congratulations to everyone who competed - we hope to see you again next year!

  • Future stars shine at Otago Junior Long Course Championships

    Our juniors were on fire at the Otago Junior LC Championships, notching lots of personal best times and four Otago records. It was fantastic to see the next generation of Otago swimmers giving it their all and having fun while doing it! We would like to extend a special thank you to Aotearoa Gaming Trust and Amigos for their support in making this competition possible.

  • Alan Hale Appointed to World Aquatics Swimming Officials List #22

    A big congratulations to our very own Alan Hale on being re-appointed to the World Aquatics Officials List as a Starter! Alan has been appointed to the Swimming Officials List #22, and is one of six New Zealanders to make the list.
