  • 44 Medals Won by Otago Athletes at Division II Championships

    From 9-13 May, 40 Otago athletes competed at the New Zealand Division II Championships in Dunedin; earning 22 gold, 12 silver and 10 bronze medals, and lowering a ton of personal best times over the course of the week.

    From 19-23 April, seven Otago athletes competed at the New Zealand Age Group Swimming Championships in Wellington; posting thirteen new personal best times, bringing home 2 medals, and breaking one Otago record over the course of the week.

    From 5-10 April, fifteen Otago athletes competed at the New Zealand Swimming Championships in Auckland, bringing home thirteen Open medals, seven Age Group medals, and breaking three NZ records and sixteen Otago records over the course of the week.

    Over the weekend was our regional Junior Long Course Championship and Senior Long Course Carnival. It was all-round a great two day event, with over 200 athletes from around the country in attendance.
